Confirmation 2008
On Sunday afternoon, November 9, 2008, our 8th Grade students received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Celebrating and anointing each young man and woman was Bishop Sullivan. Joining the Bishop for the ceremony was Msgr. Moore, Fr. Jude and Fr. Matthew.
This Sunday was one of many milestones that required much hard work and preparation. We wish God’s blessing on each of them and their families.
Veteran’s Day
Monday morning, November 10th, St. Joseph’s held our Annual Veterans Day Celebration. The soldiers from the area Veterans of foreign War posts were in attendance to hear original songs and speeches written by our students.
Each year we turn our day over to honoring those men and women who gave all to our country. We added to our celebration with a LASER Light Show presented by Prismatic Magic.
Fall Ball
That same evening, our Student Council held its’ first dance of the school year. Over 100 students from St. Joseph’s School, St. Joseph’s Religious Education program and area Catholic schools attended and had a great time. The entertainment was provided by Jason Longobardo, Class of 1994, from Double Image Sounds & Entertainment.
IRIS
St. Joseph’s has been using an instant notification system for almost one school year. In the next few weeks we will be moving to a new updated system that allows for additional methods of contact. It is called IRIS (Immediate Response Information System). Please keep looking for details to come home about this new system.
